Wordless Wednesdays

(Not so) Wordless Wednesday- Fairytale Edition

The Husband got the big Lego fairytale book and it’s the coolest thing ever. It’s got a surprise!

Jack and the Beanstock.

It folds up! With the story inside!

And you can switch out the story! Here’s Red Riding Hood.

Look out! That’s not Grandma!

After the rescue!

It fits in with our other fairytale decor this month.

The books are from the bottom left: Grimm’s Fairy Tales, Politically Correct Bedtime Stories, and Once Upon a More Enlightened Time. Both by James FinnGarner, and both satire, of course.

The larger books are Brian Froud’s Good Faeries/Bad Faeries, Lady Cottington’s Pressed Fairy Book, and Lady Cottington’s Pressed Fairy Letters. The Lady C books are ridiculous if you have a darker or weirder sense of humor. It’s watercolor pictures of what fairies would be if they were caught in a book and pressed like a flower. I giggle uproariously while reading them.

Yes, we also have a mini Lego book. This one was one of the free sets and is specifically Hans Christian Anderson.

I’ve decided to embrace the whimsical side of life for a while. Plus, with the exception of just a couple of things, we had everything pictured. It was fun to get creative with decor. I hope this makes you smile a little today!

Photo credit goes to the Husband. These are from his recent business trip. He got to stop at the Georgia Aquarium, which is the largest in the Western Hemisphere. We’re plotting a trip back, so I can go too.

My Grandma’s name was Florence, so the Husband sent me this one too. 🙂
