Simple Sunday- Lord of the Rings Edition

“Chip the glasses and crack the plates!
Blunt the knives and bend the forks!
That’s what Bilbo Baggins hates-
Smash the bottles and burn the corks!
Cut the cloth and tread on the fat!
Pour the milk on the pantry floor!
Leave the bones on the bedroom mat!
Splash the wine on every door!
Dump the crocks in a boiling bowl;
Pound them up with a thumping pole;
And when you’ve finished, if any are whole,
Send them down the hall to roll!
That’s what Bilbo Baggins hates!
So, carefully! carefully with the plates!”- Blunt the Knives from The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

“It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings

“Pay heed to the tales of old wives. It may well be that they alone keep in memory what it was once needful for the wise to know.”

Simple Sunday

I found this bracelet at the Ren Fest yesterday and thought it was perfect to remind myself to just go for it with dancing and any other creative endeavor I am working on. It also fit me perfectly with no adjustments, so obviously it was meant for me. 🙂
